Deep Regrets

Book of Mormon Marriage And Family Study

1 Nephi 2: 2-4

“took nothing with him.”

How can materialism harm a family?

A father can easily become blinded by his responsibility to provide for his family and go to the extreme in this. For example, he may feel internal or external pressure to provide for the luxuries or compete with the neighbors.

Also, often the mother works outside the home. Sometimes this is required to help provide for the basic necessities; however, many mothers work for the luxuries. Therefore, this comes at a great cost to the children.

When we are on our deathbeds we will regret not spending more quality time with our families giving them experiences they will never forget. We will regret spending too much time chasing after money. We will hope we did everything possible to strengthen our family in Christ and build upon His foundation.
