The Importance of Repairing Relationships

Relationships Are Eternal And God Is Serious That We Love Each Other

Jesus Christ Topical Guide: Sermon On The Mount Series

Matthew 5:23-24

“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee:”

“Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”

The way we treat each other is very important to God. So much that it seems as if this is a precondition for receiving our righteous desires. For example, the Bible Dictionary to prayer talks about how blessings require work or effort on our part before we can receive them. These are also blessings that God is ready and willing to grant but conditioned on our asking through prayer. However, it appears that we need to repair any broken relationships if there is any.
