All Glory Belongs To Jesus Christ, For He Is Our Redeemer And Overcame All Obstacles To Our Salvation

Jesus Christ Topical Guide: Sermon On The Mount Series

Matthew 6: 13

“For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen”

All the glory belongs to Jesus Christ! He is our Redeemer and without a redeemer the entire plan of God would be in vain.

The Plan of Salvation, which is also called the Plan of Happiness, centers on the life, mission, atonement or sacrifice and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

A redeemer is required because the laws of Heaven demand a certain standard for living there. For example, the minute we sin we are shut out forever. However, because of Jesus Christ this is not the case.

Without a redeemer we could not repent. Because Jesus Christ took upon Him all our sins and paid for them with His blood and His life, we can repent. His gift of repentance is reason to give Him all the glory and shout praises to Him all day long. Therefore, He redeems only those who repent.

It is not just sin that keeps us from returning home. Physical death is also an enemy that Jesus overcame. Because Jesus was resurrected everyone will be resurrected with a perfect body. Think of that marvelous gift of a perfect body in the eternities. You will live again when you die, and you will never feel pain or disease or fatigue or anything that physically hurts you.

Because Jesus was resurrected He had to be a God. No mortal man can resurrect himself. Therefore, He is the way, the only way. Jesus is not just a prophet or a holy man but the Son of God and the only way into the Kingdom of God. Nobody can get to the Father without Him.

In a way, Jesus is the gatekeeper and guard into Heaven. Nobody enters without His approval.

Furthermore, all glory belongs to Jesus not just because of what is possible after this life but also what we can do with our earth life right now.

Everyone was born with the light of Christ and through Him we receive His grace, which is the enabling power. Grace is the strength of God to do things that we could never do on our own. Therefore, we should praise and glory Jesus for the ability to live a powerful life. Additionally, gifts of the Spirit are available to everyone with the gift of the Holy Ghost. These gifts are special powers that only God can give. Money can’t buy them and they are not earned by degrees.
