God Is No Respecter Of Persons

The Things Of My Soul

Ether 4:4, “… and there were never greater things made manifest than those which were made manifest unto the brother of Jared.”

I think The brother of Jared is a great example that God is no respecter of persons. He was so ordinary that he didn’t have his own name. Yet, Jesus Christ not only revealed Himself to him, but revealed all His mysteries to him. The brother of Jared’s faith was so strong that he rent the veil, and nothing was withheld from him.

The brother of Jared’s is a vivid example of what is possible; although you could argue that it seems far fetched. I think the Lord shows these great examples not be extreme, even though most will not achieve it in this life. But the point is that you could if you desired it and worked for it.

One reason why I highlight the brother of Jared is because God knows you personally and individually. He doesn’t deal with you in the masses. Christ’s atonement was individual. He thinks about you as if you were His only child. I can’t wrap my brain around that, but I know it is true and it is empowering to think about.

When I think about that truth, I do not feel alone or that God is detached from my life. And, it strengthens my faith, knowing that faith is indeed a real power that can call down the powers of heaven specifically for me. Obviously what is true for me is true for you also because God is no respecter of persons.

Here is something else that I thought about, the kind of relationship you have with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is up to you. They will not put any limits on you. If you really want to know them, and be close to them you can.

Why would Heavenly Father who loves you more than you can comprehend and knows you much better than you know yourself, place barriers to your relationship with Him.

There is nothing greater than the knowledge of God. It is the greatest journey you can take, and it will bring you the greatest joy if this life. Only marriage and a family life approaches that level of joy.

The kind of relationship with God that I am talking about can only happen through the atonement of Jesus Christ. His sacrifice made it possible to stand in God’s presence and be worthy enough to remain there.

I invite you to join me at church on Sunday's. We meet from 9:00 A.M to noon. Sacrament is our first meeting that lasts about an hour, and this meeting we are all together, and then we split up to Sunday School. The Sacrament Meeting is the most important meeting of all the church meetings. When you arrive grab anyone and tell them about this website and explain that you are visiting. Also, ask to meet our branch mission leader and the full time missionaries before Sacrament Meeting starts. My chapel address is 1928 E. South Campus Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. It is at the University of Utah campus, in the institute area. My branch is a singles branch, but if you are married with children don't let that stop you from visiting our Sacrament Meeting and chatting with our branch mission leader and full time missionaries.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a worldwide church. Most likely there is a chapel near you.

There is nothing more important in this life or in this world than the gospel of Jesus Christ, as revealed by the Apostles and Prophets because it finds evil and wicked men and transforms them into good men, and good men into righteous men. Ultimately, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the world’s only hope for salvation, peace and safety.

God doesn't typically change your circumstances for you. He changes and strengthens you so you can change your environment.

Go here to find a chapel near you if you don't live in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.
