Salvation Vs Exaltation

Salvation and exaltation are often used interchangeably in scripture, but they are not the same. Undoubtedly, to be exalted is to be saved. You can be saved and not be exalted. There are a lot more ways or meanings of salvation than exaltation.

What Salvation Is

The prophets have said that there are at least 6 different meanings of salvation.

  1. Salvation from Physical Death.
  2. Salvation from sin.
  3. Being born again.
  4. Salvation from Ignorance.
  5. Salvation from the Second Death.
  6. Eternal life, or exaltation.

We are saved from physical death because everyone will be resurrected. We are saved from our sins through the atonement of Jesus Christ and by exercising faith unto repentance. We are born again when we are baptized and change our natures. We are saved from ignorance through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Many people live in darkness. We are saved from the second death because everyone will inherit a kingdom of glory, and the lowest kingdom will be much better than this earth.

The most brutal dictator who has slaughtered millions of innocent people, or the rapist who will probably find themselves in the lowest kingdom will still find themselves in a much better place than this earth is. We are saved when we gain eternal life, which is to know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and to dwell with them. Eternal life is to gain the highest level in the highest kingdom.

All will be saved it is only a matter of level or degree of being saved.

Salvation is an individual matter, but exaltation is a family concern. To inherit the top level of the Celestial Kingdom, you must be married through the priesthood of God. If it doesn’t happen in this life and you are worthy, it will happen in the next life.
