The Holy Ghost Reveals Knowledge

Teachings Of The Prophets: Joseph Smith

The things of God are serious and profound, and for that reason Joseph Smith commissioned us to search out God’s mysteries. The gospel is deep and broad, and which is impossible to fully grasp in this life.

The temple is a perfect example of the breadth and depth of His love. For instance, the temple is the Lord’s University and He primarily teaches you through symbolism that has rich meaning abounding with multiple layers. The temple is proof that God lives and that He loves you and prepared a way for you to rise as high as you wish. You could literally live in the temple and still only barely scratch the surface of what you could receive, which is evidence that God has provided means to rise as high was we want in this life.

Limiting us is not in God’s plan.

Joseph Smith said, “How much more dignified and noble are the thoughts of God, than the vain imaginations of the human heart!”

Imagine what thinking on the things of God will do to your spirit and character, yet the vain things that is so easy and natural for us brings no joy or value.

The Holy Ghost is the greatest teacher because He is also a member of the Godhead and can bring all things to your remembrance. He can burn doubt out of you. That assurance will strengthen your faith and confidence, to where you eventually become fearless.
