The Moral Force Of Women: Elder D. Todd Christofferson

Women are naturally powerful, for example Elder Christofferson said women are “the guardians of the wellspring of life,” and the “civilizing influence in society.”

 

Satan and his puppets on this earth are trying hard to destroy your moral power, and as a result they want you to be the same as men.  For instance, men and women are equal in the sight of God, but we don’t have the same gifts and responsibilities.

 We are not the same and are not meant to be.

 Remarkably, mothers have incredible influence on their children and family, especially righteous mothers; therefore, being a mother (and wife) is the greatest good you can do in this world. Strengthening and healing relationships comes natural for many women.

 Elder Christofferson said, “A woman’s moral influence is nowhere more powerfully felt or more beneficially employed than in the home.  There is no better setting for rearing the rising generation than the traditional family, where a father and a mother work in harmony to provide for, teach, and nurture their children.”

•  Devalue marriage and parenthood.  Society tells you that a career is better than being a mother.
• Sexuality. There is a double standard, because society didn’t look down too much on men when they were sexually promiscuous but did so with women.  Now it is no big deal if both are.
•  Erase the differences between men and women.  God intentionally created you to be different than men.  He made us different so our differences would complement each other, to make us complete and whole.  Our differences will help us become much better than what we otherwise could be.

 

You can maintain and strengthen your moral power and influence in the world, but you can’t do it without God’s help.
